This is an exciting opportunity in Shoreview, MN for a talented Market Insight Leader – Power Systems to build and lead market intelligence activity for the Power Generation Business, a $4B business unit.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Manages and leads team that develops and presents market share, size and forecasts for various power generation businesses.

  • Leads third party primary research projects to grow existing and new areas of business such as data centers and mining and gas.

  • Works closelywith key Power Systems Business Unit (PSBU) strategy and market leaders as well as Sr. Leadership to support competitive assessments and special projects.

  • Researches key industry trends and special projects and presents findings to key decision makers.

  • Recommends purchase of new research tools and intelligence methods and techniques to ensure delivery of quality market data, insights, and recommendations.

  • Highly proficient in developing knowledge networks throughout the business, distribution channel, and external sources.

  • Develops a high-performance team by leading, motivating, mentoring, and developing employees, and champions a culture of intelligence gathering, insights generation and value-added support.

  • Creates and manages budgets, financial controls, and risk, ensuring operations are executed efficiently and within established budgets.

Market Forecasting - Analyzes and interprets market data from a variety of internal and external sources and modeling to formulate unbiased market projections specific to business segment.

Market Positioning - Compiles market overview and trends to build frameworks which provide market insights to the decision making process

Storytelling - Develops and delivers a compelling narrative which resonates with a target audience and influences a decision or course of action.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related subject required

MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred


7-10 years in business, marketing, or market research in Power Generation market

Prior management experience in the power generation or similar industry for a minimum of 2 years

Proven success in building relationships/partnerships and teams

Compensation and Benefits

Base annual salary commensurate with experience plus annual variable compensation.
