Placement - Program and Project Analyst
At Cummins we recognise that having experience of the working world during your university degree provides a key insight to the practical application of your learning. We run an exciting 12-month placement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on real projects making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole. You will receive on the job training and take part in a structured Training & Development Programme designed to give the skills and competencies required for future graduate roles.
In addition to the roles & responsibilities below; the candidate will support the NPS Program Leader in the following areas:
(Project) Refresh of NPS Program materials, documentation, websites
Management of existing Service Transactional NPS Programs and others as required by the business
Work autonomously following direction, and be proactive in your approach.
Analyse data, produce reports and make recommendations based on your findings.
Serve as a resource on projects and work assignments, employing a basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
Assist with project planning and tracking, research and analytical support, providing input into the design and development of project plans and associated timelines.
Monitor and communicate project status to project teams and the wider business.
Identify, track and then work with others to resolve project issues.
Assist with the management of project risk, using standard tools to identify areas of risk.
Document and share team learning with other teams, draw on other experiences to enhance the success of the projects.
Maintain project notes, databases and other records, monitor and publish key performance measures.
Communicate to the Program Leader the status of specific projects and assignments.
Embrace the Company values and mission, representing and promoting of Cummins Inc.
Support department process and problem-solving projects from start to finish.
To be eligible for our 12 Month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area.
Be an energetic and considerate team member
Understand the relationships and balance between the project management fundamentals of Scope, Schedule and Resources to successfully plan and deliver projects
Able to define and solve problems in a disciplined approach.
Have fine attention to detail skills
Computer literate. Excellent skills of Excel, Word & Power Point.
Must be able to actively participate and contribute as a team member, including strong cross functional communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
