Qualifications

This is an exciting opportunity for Account Specialist - Senior - #IN731 in Columbus, Indiana.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Utilize extensive engineering knowledge to market the organization’s engine products to assigned business users to achieve sales goals, expanding existing relationships and executing account sales plan in support of business strategy.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain business relationships with assigned accounts supporting the organization’s sales strategy.

  • Support growth or new business opportunities in the engineering industry.

  • Extend and expand sales of systems and components as well as engineering services to existing clients.

  • Lead, manage and coordinate communication and interface with key stakeholders at appropriate levels.

  • Negotiate and implement contracts with accounts, and manage production and distribution issues associated with accounts.

  • Act as a champion for the Voice of the Customer within the business.

  • Support account strategy and work with key stakeholders in the business to achieve optimum results.

  • Responsible for measuring user satisfaction with engine products and creating action plans to improve satisfaction based on data and complex data and statistical analysis.

  • Drive Six Sigma initiatives to strengthen relationship with users and stakeholders, and drive cross business unit account development in support of account strategy.

  • Identify the needs of global channel partners to support stakeholders more effectively as part of Channel Awareness.

  • Utilize mechanical and automotive engineering design knowledge to analyze competitor and industry pricing, sales, and distribution.

  • Collaborate on a global and cross-functional basis with to develop engine product packaging design and standards which will help drive sales and capture lost business opportunities.

  • Support continuous improvement activities and Value Package Introduction project teams to increase desirability of company products in the engine market and in order to compete with similar organizations.

  • Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of products, components, and systems.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Positions require aBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Systems, or Automotive Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and three years of experience as a Customer, Application, Design, or Project Engineer, or related position.

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
